Rev Andrew Wilson, Moderator of the Presbytery and minister of Rubislaw
Parish Church took part in the Cyrenians Big Sleepout. Andrew slept
out with this group of young people who are some of the members of
Rubislaw Church's Centrepoint group for S3 plus, along with their leader
and the Student Placement.
Andrew writes: "We camped out in cardboard boxes outside the exhibition
centre. The sleepout was the biggest yet with around 1100 taking part. I
have raised about £1200 in Rubislaw and hope for a generous sponsorship
response from all other congregations in Presbytery to make our Presbytery
contribution to the Cyrenians a big one. Sponsor money should be returned
to the Presbytery Office cheques made payable to Aberdeen Cyenians."

Also taking part in the sleep out were Rev John Ferguson of Peterculter Parish Church, together with Helen Kelbie and Michael Black of Cults Parish Church.

Installation of
Master of Christ's College
1 October 2001

Revd Professor Iain Torrance at his installation as Master of Christ's College, flanked by his two immediate predecessors, the Very Revd Professor Alan Main and the Revd Dr Henry Sefton. They are pictured in the Divinity Library at King's College.
Professor Torrance was inducted to the Mastership by Moderator Dick Wallis on 1 October 2001. Since Christ's College is a Church of Scotland institution which happens to live in the University, it comes under the supervision of the Presbytery. The appointment is made by the General Assembly and the Induction is carried out by the Presbytery.
